What rigtch.fm Does
rigtch.fm helps people analyze Spotify listening behavior, view top artists, albums, tracks, genres, listening history, periodic reports, lifetime imports, AI roasts, social profiles, followers, and leaderboards. The app also offers paid Plus plans for additional billing-backed features.
Data We Collect From You
When you create and use a rigtch.fm account, we store account and profile data needed to operate the service, including your internal user ID, name, email address, email verification status, profile image, username, account timestamps, and selected settings such as profile visibility and default display preferences.
When you connect Spotify, we also store Spotify-linked account data and tokens needed to sync with Spotify, including your Spotify account ID, access token, refresh token, token expiry dates, scopes, Spotify country, profile URL, and Spotify image data.
Spotify Data We Access and Process
rigtch.fm currently requests Spotify scopes for playback state, current playback, recently played tracks, followed artists, top items, and email access. That lets us show music analytics, playback integrations, profile-linked Spotify links, personalized stats, and periodic reports.
We process listening-history records such as track identifiers and play timestamps, plus track metadata used to power reports and library views.
Imported Listening History Files
If you upload Spotify Extended Streaming History, we temporarily store the uploaded file so we can process the import, keep import status and error records, and add the imported listening history to your dataset inside rigtch.fm.
Profile, Social, and AI Data
rigtch.fm stores your profile visibility setting, follower and following relationships, public profile counts, and generated roast content. If you use the roast feature, we send a summary of your top artists, tracks, genres, and listening totals to our AI provider to generate the text returned to you.
Billing Data
If you buy or manage a paid plan, we store the billing records needed to activate, manage, renew, cancel, refund, or revoke paid access. This can include billing customer IDs, product and plan details, subscription or payment identifiers, status and renewal dates, and billing webhook records received from our billing processor.
We do not store full payment-card details in the application. Payments are handled by our billing provider.
Emails, Preferences, Analytics, and Error Monitoring
We store email preferences and related engagement metadata to send updates, feature unlock notices, report emails, billing and account notices, and re-engagement messages when enabled or when transactional messages are needed to operate the service.
We use PostHog for product analytics. When enabled, PostHog captures page views, page leaves, and selected events like connect-button clicks, and identifies signed-in users with user ID, email, name, and username.
We use Sentry for error and performance monitoring. Sentry can receive request, log, and user context, but our server sanitizes common secret fields and redacts email and IP address values before sending events.

Visibility and Sharing
Your profile visibility controls whether others can see your profile and related public stats. Public and non-private surfaces may expose your display name, username, avatar, counts, shared analytics, roast results, and other profile content you choose to make visible.
Retention and Choices
We retain account, settings, listening, billing, and operational data for as long as needed to run the service and maintain records. You can stop using the service, disconnect app access from Spotify, change email preferences, and avoid paid plans if you do not want billing data processed.
